Command line version of the Maker

Also in development, a 'CLI minimal version of the Maker' in line with the current crop of static site generators, fully configurable and extensible to be as simple or as complex as you want, all written in python for yet even more exensibility, fully compatible with all your existing maker projects - straight out of the box, and only 250 lines of code (Thanks Python)

Basic Commands:

  • audit template list required for files to be included - (simple)
  • build Static website builder inc. dynamics - new and changes only - local only
  • injectDynamic injects any make dynamic files into pre-final HTML
  • maker Static website builder inc. dynamics - new and changes only - sync to server - Full Monty
  • reBuild Static website builder/force rebuild of all pages - local only
  • rsync Sync to server remove any remote orphan files

So simply: reBuild rysnc command to completely redbuild site from source and sync with remote server or just command maker for minimal changes only traffic to your server

A side benefit to this and is also relavent to the GUI maker too, is that if you are on the road or blogging from a remote part of the world with very limited web access you can polish your changes on your local machine then send the absolute minimal data over the internet, typically less that a couple of K for a days blogging

And to maintain further simplicity all '.content' files can be written in markdown, this combined with only having the parts of the page that is changing visible (head, nav, foot and any dynamic parts are compiled at build) makes for a very distraction free environment to maintain your pages wether it is a blog or any other type web site
